Janneke Van Hoeve is a SSHRC-funded PhD candidate in Cultural Mediations at Carleton University. She studies topics in diaspora and representation in the global ‘Art Bank’ model, particularly through digital methodologies including data analysis and modeling.
Her degrees include a Bachelor of Arts and Business with a major in Visual Culture and minors in Cultural Identities and Psychology from the University of Waterloo (2022), a Master's in Art and Architectural History with a specialization in Digital Humanities from Carleton University (2024), and a Graduate Diploma in Migration and Diaspora Studies from Carleton University (2024). Recently, she also earned a Canadian Certificate in Digital Humanities. Janneke is also a research assistant for the Mobile Subjects, Contrapuntal Modernisms project.
