Gabriela Chitwood

Gabriela Chitwood is an art and architectural historian specializing in medieval material. She received her PhD in the History of Art and Architecture in 2026 and previously earned a BA in Art History with a minor in Digital Humanities from UCLA. Her research concentrates on the late Gothic architecture of Southern France and uses digital humanities tools to understand medieval space and people. In 2025, she was awarded the Medieval Academy’s Brigit Baldwin Fellowship. She has presented her research at the annual meetings for a variety of societies, including the Society of Architectural Historians, the Medieval Academy of America, and the International Congress of Medieval Studies.
