About
Predoctoral and Postdoctoral Fellowships are being offered in the department of Prof. Dr. Tanja Michalsky at the Bibliotheca Hertziana – Max Planck Institute for Art History in Rome. The department welcomes projects in – but not necessarily limited to – one of its core research areas: Historical spaces and their media of representation, sacred spaces, Southern Italy (especially Naples) and social reality in Italian films.
The department's website provides further information on these research areas. Candidates should propose a project to be funded for two to three years (predoctoral) or one to two years (postdoctoral). Successful candidates will be – expected to be part of a group of young scholars focused on one of the topics and to participate in the institute's activities.
