He is group leader of the project “Artistic and Artifical Seeing: Computer Vision and Art History in Methodical and Practical Cooperation” at the Heidelberg Academy of Science and Humanities and was scientific assistant at the prometheus Bildarchiv at the University of Cologne with the project “Konzeption zur digitalen Erschließung von Postkarten und Druckgrafik des Rom e.V.” (BMBF).
