ABOUT
The International Journal for Digital Art History (DAHJ) is accepting applications for a Peer Review Coordinator. We are looking for an organized and communicative candidate with wide-ranging interests in digital art history and related fields (media studies, digital humanities, information science) who wants to help strengthen and support the DAHJ peer review network.
Responsibilities include:
Managing and maintaining the DAHJ peer reviewer database, including reviewer profiles, areas of expertise, and availability.
Identifying and recruiting new peer reviewers from relevant scholarly communities and networks.
Communicating with peer reviewers regarding invitations, deadlines, and review processes.
Supporting the editorial team in matching submissions with appropriate reviewers.
Helping develop and refine DAHJ peer review workflows and organizational structures.
Attending weekly, one-hour zoom meetings to stay informed regarding current DAHJ activities.
We encourage applicants interested in learning about the peer-review process, expanding their familiarity with the global network of practicing scholars and artists in related fields, and becoming a part of a supportive and dedicated editorial team. This volunteer position will require approximately 3–5 hours a week. At the DAHJ, we are all volunteers. We do this as a professional service because we enjoy collaborating and building the field together. We understand that this is a commitment and expect us all to work together to find a way to produce publications in a way that is respectful of everyone’s time, effort, and various commitments.
APPLY
A fluent English speaker, familiarity with art history, experience with academic communication and organization, and the ability to make a long-term commitment to the DAHJ team is preferable. Applicants should send a cover letter and CV to editors@dahj.org.
